The Excavation

I’m on the engine
And Jerry was in the machine
Gordon was operating the computer
And had our controls on his screen
I gave a horn blast and Gordon jerked to look at me
I mouthed the words “just kidding”
But he couldn’t see
The crane spun and dumped the contents
Jerry made the machine climb the dirt wall
And drilled a hole
So he wouldn’t fall
Gordon lit up the dug out area
And I went full throttle on the engine
To perfect this excavation
Was the only thing about this that was rigid
I pressed the wrong button
And water spurted into Gordons face
“Leave Gordon alone” Jerry said
And I fingered him
